The purpose of this role is to deliver strong support to the company’s Finance Manager by ensuring full statutory compliance, and by analysing financial data to provide feedback that will assist in proper decision-making. The position is based in Athens, Greece.
  • Control the bookkeeping and compliance services of our outsourcing accounting team in India.
  • Assist in financial and tax audits.
  • Prepare various financial statutory reconciliations.
  • Communicate with accounting team members abroad, daily.
  • Review periodical Vat and Tax filings.
  • Undertake detailed analysis of company expenses identifying unusual occurrences.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, in accounting or relevant economic field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in full cycle bookkeeping experience as an accountant.
  • Provide excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills (both in Greek and English)
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Experience in VAT and Withholding Tax periodical returns, related to the Greek statutory legislation.
  • Develop, update, and reconcile various accounting schedules and structures.
  • Time management skills
  • Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (IFRS knowledge will be considered as a plus).
  • Experience in purchase order systems will be desirable.
  • Any accounting experience related with Cyprus statutory legislation, or Law 89 company will be a strong plus.
