To further strengthen our Portuguese Sales Team, we are searching for an Area Sales Manager (ASM), reporting to: Sales Manager Portugal. The main purpose of an ASM role is to create the best environment and platform, to deliver and follow up the results, including sales, sales force and leadership development targets set for its Area and Portugal. This is done by training and motivating our Brand Partners in the North, ensuring an effective flow and follow up of information between the field and the company.

The ASM should demonstrate leadership and being a role model in everyday field work, and is responsible to “train the trainers” within all categories needed to succeed; e.g Business tools, Leadership, Hero products, Online Branding. All this, whilst being an inspirational leader and thereby increase sales, sales force growth and profitability.

  • Define new target groups for recruitment and work systematically with “the New Generation” to build up the future sales force.
  • Develop new leaders and support the current leaders in Portugal.
  • Setting individual goals for development, follow up and drive field activities to reach goals. To meet the needs and be able to reach the targets, this might require driving field activities few days per week, including weekends and evenings.
  • Organize and independently conduct trainings and motivate our sales force.
  • Ensure that the sales targets are met consistently, catalogue and quarterly planning of KPI’s and follow up.
  • Analyze KPI´s in order to draw conclusions and implement needed actions.
  • Communicate with the sales force of different knowledge and backgrounds to make them understand, buy-in and get excited and engaged in various initiatives
  • Be a driver of change within the Region.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource or relevant field.
  • More than anything, you need to be passionate about business and people!
  • Fluent in Portuguese and good English skills
  • Great public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Between 4-8 years of documented leadership and sales skills
  • Experienced within Social Selling is a plus
  • A strong team player with high social skills
  • Interested in extensive traveling in the North, Portugal and abroad (field activities, incentive trips, trainings etc)
  • Able to work under your own supervision and enjoy working and interacting with wider teams.
  • You will need to be organized, able to manage challenges and prioritize tasks at different stages of development.
  • Able to work in an environment which is fast moving with an entrepreneurial business mind set.
  • Be innovative, curious, and willing to learn.
  • Very flexible, since, in this role, you need to work when the field needs you!
  • Being the center of positive energy and creativity.
  • You have a positive and proactive mind-set and the ability to work under pressure with several parallel projects running with short deadlines and you see extended travels as a positive.
  • Great skills in Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and various digital tools.
