The purpose of this role is to further strengthen our Privacy Team in Schaffhausen.
Under direction and supervision of the Senior Legal and Data Protection Director:
  • Constantly review all the firm’s global data protection compliance arrangements to include updating policies and guidance, centralizing processes, and putting in place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary
  • Develop, maintain, and roll out relevant global internal data privacy policies
  • Create training program and develop training materials. Conduct trainings to Oriflame employees. Keep training records and statistics in relevant system
  • Inform and advise on the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its requirements, liaising with local support as needed
  • Keep the records of assets and data processing activities as well as data mapping in One Trust system
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and developing and implementing a robust compliance plan
  • Partner with all key business areas, in particular the IT Security team, to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects, products, and initiatives (privacy by design), Conduct necessary PIA
  • Highlight and bring forward risks in relation to global data privacy issues
  • Support business/ DPO in responding to DPA’s requests (handle enquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights)
  • Monitor data privacy laws (and other related e.g., e-privacy directive) worldwide and address new requirements to DPO and local markets. Propose new solutions to fulfil the requirements and work closely with IT developers to implement them
  • Maintain the vendors screening process and assess the data processors technical and organizational measures prior to engagement of such vendor by the Group; ensure relevant DPA and data transfer agreements are in place
  • Ensure smooth coordination of works and deliverables in any data protection compliance audits or eventual data breach incidents
  • Build and maintain the local network of privacy “go to” persons (privacy champions), organizing meetings to address new privacy issues and share experience.

  • Excellent writing, organisational and problem-solving skills as well as sound risk assessment skills
  • Client service orientation, excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with people across the business

  • Respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social, and academic backgrounds
  • Visio or relevant BPMN (business process modelling notation)
Skills:
  • Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken), any other European language proficiency will be a strong additional advantage
  • A university degree in law, data privacy, information technology or similar relevant for the job subject with excellent academic credentials
  • CIPP/E, CIPM or similar certification/qualification will be strong advantage
  • Good knowledge of data privacy, data handling and data classification
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience of advising on, support in managing data privacy issues in a global organization
  • Expertise in global and European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR
  • Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits
  • Ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within the global firm
  • Ability to review, analyse and organise documentary and factual evidence
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and online research tools
  • Knowledge of OneTrust data protection management tool
