As Global Procurement Buyer you will support the procurement of Packaging Materials within a global context, assisting in the management of a €45 million spend across over 50 suppliers. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders and senior team members, you will contribute to the efficient management of suppliers, ensuring competitive advantage and added value to the company and be at the heart of our strategic sourcing efforts.

This role reports to the Global Procurement Manager Packaging Materials and is based at our Stockholm office.

Sourcing strategy and sourcing of new suppliers

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for packaging materials (e.g., glass, pumps, plastic bottles, tubes).
  • Support the introduction and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring alignment with business needs with cross functional team.
  • Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of suppliers, cost drivers, and industry trends.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Contribute to the management of global supplier relationships, supporting efforts to enhance supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and sustainability.
  • Implement supplier contracts and support the tracking of supplier performance metrics.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

Spend Management

  • Provide support in the management of the global spend for packaging materials, helping to ensure alignment with the sourcing strategy.
  • Initiate cost-saving initiatives and assist in monitoring savings for the spend area.
  • Negotiate yearly prices and help maintain procurement master data.

You will also contribute to stakeholder management and process development. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing value within the packaging material commodities and coordinate cross-functional activities to support supplier development and efficiency initiatives. You will develop and communicate procurement processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, proactive, a good communicator with influencer skills and able to work within a fast-paced environment.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in Procurement or a related supply chain role
  • Exposure to packaging materials procurement is preferred
  • Experience from the Cosmetics, Food or FMCG industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing supplier relationships and handling negotiations
  • Familiarity with e-procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration, change management and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural and geographic environments and adhere to highest ethical standards
  • Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in English
