As the Global Procurement Manager of Packaging Materials, you’ll be at the helm of our strategic sourcing efforts. Your mission? To optimize our packaging material procurement, enhance supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies. With a spend of €40 million, over 50 suppliers worldwide, and responsibility for 6 critical commodities, you’ll be the conductor of our packaging procurement symphony.

Sourcing strategy and sourcing of new suppliers

  • base optimization (incl. risk management, introduction of new suppliers and product transfers)
  • and implement procurement commodity strategies meeting business needs, today and in the future
  • and maintain market knowledge of suppliers, cost drivers, competitors, market trends, product innovations and sustainability

Supplier Relationship Management

  • of the global supplier base for packaging materials, accountable for supplier performance, relationship (incl. contracts) and overall business allocation
  • of supplier performance management and continuous improvements linked to service levels, cost, quality, value engineering, innovation and sustainability metrics
  • for resolving major supplier issues related to quality and service etc

Spend Management

  • of the global spend for Packaging Materials (~40 M€)
  • yearly price negotiations with suppliers as well as cost saving projects and initiatives pipeline to ensure year -on-year cost savings are delivered
  • standard costing of all spend, continuous procurement master data maintenance and monthly monitoring of savings.

You will also shoulder responsibility of stakeholder, spend management and process development. You will work closely with the functional stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and identify opportunities for increasing value to the commodities as well as lead and prioritize workload for cross-functional supplier development team activities.

  • Bachelor Degree
  • years of professional experience in Packaging Procurement and people management
  • track record of managing spend and suppliers with a complex and wide range of products
  • from the Cosmetics, Food or FMCG industry is preferred
  • knowledge of multiple spend categories, e-procurement processes and systems
  • and high degree of problem solving skills
  • collaboration, change management and influencing skills
  • to work in diverse cultural and geographic environments
  • good presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • good English skills
  • to highest ethical standards
