The role is both an operational hands-on role and a manager role based in Warsaw, Poland. The Industrialisation Manager will be required to manage the team (industrialisation, pilot plant and stability / compatibility testing), ensure all operational activities are run efficiently and perform all associated HR activities.

Person on this position be responsible for optimising the industrialisation and pilot plant including analytics, stability and stores area to fulfil the processing / scale-up requirements of the formulation development categories and enable development of “Best Practice” within Process Development to support business growth.

As this is a newly established team in Warsaw, the manager will need to build and instil core company values.The position will report directly to the Senior Manager Industrialization & Analytics based in Stockholm, Sweden.

  • Manage a team of 7 scientists and technicians in the Industrialization function.
  • Responsible for training, setting targets and career development planning for the team.
  • Pilot Plant operations (schedule / Raw Material availability / Health & Safety / Stores).
  • Maintenance of equipment (preventative & curative repairs / budget management / equipment commissioning & validation).
  • Performance Management (both team & operations).
  • Support introduction of new technologies and processes into designated manufacturing sites.
  • R&D interface to internal product development laboratories (Stockholm & China), internal global factories and Global Quality.
  • Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) forum and Non-Conformance resolutions with global stakeholders.
  • Support team on NPD process development and challenges to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Minimum degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline or Engineering
  • ​7+ years’ experience in cosmetic / pharmaceutical pilot plant (preferred) or manufacturing environment.
  • ​Experience in product testing preferred (analytics / stability / compatibility).
  • ​Batch manufacture skills (preferably in cosmetic technologies) in pilot plant environment
  • ​Proven track record for success in a fast-paced environment.
  • ​Extensive knowledge in the process development equipment and processing techniques.
  • ​People Management experience with inspirational leadership skills.
  • ​Proven track record of investigative approach.
  • ​​Lateral thinker with proven ability to generate creative solutions.
  • ​​​​Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative and a team player.
