The Back-End Engineer is responsible for developing the backend part of applications. The engineer partners with Solution Expert to understand the elicited software requirements to ensure that the operations of the application are created, maintained and operated in a consistent, logical, error-free, and optimal manner. Strong cooperation is expected with other engineers on topics related to overall architecture, address performance and quality of code, he/she also cooperates on bugs resolution on several environments, including production.
  • Develop new and maintain existing solutions
  • Collaborate with Solution Experts to understand and develop business and functional requirements
  • Fix solution defects
  • Attend team meetings with either in-house or nearshore colleagues
  • Demonstrate application features to Solution Expert or business partners
  • Understand the database structures
  • Perform technical analyses for development of new features
  • Maintain the knowledge base and follows documentation process rules
  • Experience with development
    • Technology stack: SQL, XML, JSON, programming skills
    • Full stack knowledge, experience preferred (client/server/database)
  • Experience with using software project lifecycle tools (e.g. TFS, Git, DevOps)
Desirable:
  • Experience with the ERP systems in area of Supply Chain
  • Databases (Oracle, MS SQL)
  • Applications integration (ESB, messaging, web-services, REST)
  • MS VBA development
  • Knowledge of agile and iterative methodologies like SCRUM
