The Industrialisation team is a key pillar in R&D. This team is responsible for the transfer of formulations and products developed at bench scale in R&D, to production scale in various global manufacturing sites, including Poland, India and China. We also develop future facing processing and analytical technologies to support business growth. The team works across the full portfolio of colour cosmetics, skincare products, toiletries and hair care products.

You will work as part of the Industrialisation team with a focus on industrialising primarily our colour cosmetic products. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including R&D and global manufacturing sites, to influence the product design and create a robust processing solution so that right first time manufacture is achieved. You will need to apply sound chemical and physical reasoning to understand and resolve scale-up issues with various products.

Outside of NPD work you will be responsible for supporting new technology developments within certain manufacturing sites. You will be a strong technical player within the organisation delivering results with Togetherness, Spirit and Passion!

The Senior Process Chemist for Colour cosmetics will report to the Industrialisation Manager, based in Warsaw.

Work with pilot plant technicians to ensure scale up activities (including product filling) are performed as per experimental plans and as required by NPD timings.
  • Address scale-up issues and any post-industrialisation non-conformances as they arise. Execute root cause investigations and put corrective and presentative actions in place as required.
  • Work with other functions such as product testing, microbiology and packaging to ensure the formulations are tested according to correct protocols, review results and make recommendations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing sites (internal and subcontractors) at an early stage of product development to develop a robust industrialisation solution. Organise and manage, either remotely or onsite, trials in relevant factory to assess industrialisation solutions.
