The Toxicologist is responsible for ensuring that Oriflame products are developed in line with the requirements of the European Cosmetic Regulation with regard to safety. The role also provides support to the New Product Development teams on all issues relating to cosmetic ingredient and product safety. This ensures successful launch of safe and compliant products.
  • Perform safety assessments of cosmetic ingredients and products in line with the requirements of the EU Cosmetic Regulation in the designated NPD category.
  • Provide proactive safety guidance for the designated NPD cosmetic category and deliver on all safety tasks during the NPD process
  • Review and approve all raw materials within the designated NPD category in line with safety, policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the safety team in ensuring causality assessments are performed on all undesirable effects received on Oriflame products in line with industry guidance.
  • Work as a member of the safety team to ensure specific safety initiatives are met on time.
  • Minimum degree qualified in toxicology, pharmacology or relevant scientific discipline.
  • Experience in interpreting toxicological data and preparing toxicological profiles of chemicals
  • Knowledge and awareness of consumer safety related issues in the cosmetic field is advantageous.
  • Previous cosmetic safety assessment experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English.
