The Operational Excellence/NPD manager is responsible for successful project management of global Operational excellence and key New Product Development (NPD) projects within Oriflame. This role involves leading critical initiatives to enhance and secure our business as well as being responsible for developing our products cross the different functions. It requires skills, in collaboration with stakeholders, to analyze situations, set goals, implement actions and to follow up and evaluate the results.

This position leads by example, actively engaging in aligning business requirements, reducing operational complexity across functions and markets, and driving growth through great products development and strategic and complex projects.

Project management (Complex cross functional projects):

  • Manage cross-functional projects across all functions, primarily within Operations, however also cross other departments.
  • Ensure effective project management to develop products within the scope of Global NPD.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish a clear and well-anchored agenda within the business.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment to ensure projects are adequately resourced, funded, prioritized and aligned with the roadmap.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders & sponsors on project status, risks and drive any required decisions.
  • Manage full projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and handover of expected deliverables to the organization.

Business development (Ongoing improvements):

  • Challenge the status quo and propose business improvements where needed.
  • Coordinate and execute business improvement initiatives aimed at continuously developing our business to drive growth.

Passion for Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with many various stakeholders to ensure business development projects are managed effectively and meet expectations. Understand diverse needs and align demands to optimize project outcomes based on stakeholder requirements.Proactive Problem-Solving: Exhibit a strong can-do attitude, focusing on resolving issues and overcoming obstacles together with the entire team.Effective Communication: Communicate clearly across all levels of the business, summarizing complex situations, and outlining necessary decisions and next steps.

What we’re looking for?

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s University degree in a technical background or Business Administration.
  • Professional Experience:
  1. Minimum of 3 years in project management or related areas.
  2. Cross-functional project management experience.
  3. Understanding and experience of product development within retail in general, and cosmetics specifically, is an advantage.
  • Interpersonal skills:
  1. Strong planning and organizational skills.
  2. Problem-solving skills, capable of handling complexity and proposing “out of the box” solutions.
  3. Collaboration and teamwork ability.
  4. Good presentation and communication skills, able to ensure stakeholders alignment and commitment.
  • Proficiency in English.
