R&D Laboratory Lead

who will be a member of the global Cetes Cosmetics Team, reporting directly to Marketing Director CETES Cosmetics.

The office is based in Warsaw (Ursus).

The main purpose of this job is organizing and managing a small R&D team.

  • Play an expert role in researching and developing products for Cetes Customers as well library of bases.
  • Track cosmetic trends and new products in the beauty industry, participate in trade fairs, seminars and events with sourcing prospects.
  • Coordinate the purchase of necessary laboratory & testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with R&D chemists, formulation specialists to ensure delivery of safe, manufacturable and quality formulations attractive for Cetes Clients, complying with regulations and policies of cosmetics industry.
  • Assign work among team members to optimize efficiency.
  • Manage R&D team, creating the schedules and documentation
  • Create the Formulation Bank / Library as a source for innovation and newness for technologies.
  • Set performance targets and goals. Ensure adequate training for team members specific roles.
  • Work in compliance with SOPs, GMP regulations and HSE standards. Manage of the laboratory and maintenance of the infrastructure according to the rules and regulations.
  • Chemical or Cosmetology university degree background
  • Extensive project management experience in NPD
  • Experienced chemist with at least 8 years’ experience in cosmetics product development Managerial experience
  • Good understanding and track record of end to end development process regulatory needs
  • Good GMP/GLP knowledge
  • Proven track record for success in a fast paced formulation development environment, especially in creating your own formulas
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish contacts with various interest groups
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Results-driven working style with troubleshooting abilities
  • Process-driven and comprehensive approach
  • Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of current trends and passion for cosmetic formulations
  • Postgraduate cosmetology degree is an asset
  • Independent, well-organized way of working, team player
  • Very good communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities with ability to generate creative solutions
  • Result orientated
  • Excellent communication skills connecting to all levels of report
  • Experience in creating and cultivating a culture of innovation
