Supporting Senior Finance Manager in all operational tasks relating to Swiss principal company, holding companies based in Switzerland and Germany.

  • Monitors the monthly-, quarterly- and yearly closing activities following IFRS rules of companies based in Switzerland and Germany.
  • Ensures that accounting controls are adequate and functioning properly.
  • Prepare Swiss statutory financials according to Swiss law (OR).
  • Prepare tax returns of Swiss entities.
  • Prepares VAT returns for Switzerland other EU countries.
  • Participates actively to group finance projects together with the Senior Finance Manager.
  • Reviews, recommends and implements improvements to accounting system, processes and procedures Supports with internal and external audit activities.
  • Prepare Swiss National bank statistics.
  • Act as contact party for Global Shared Service Centre.
  • Any other tasks as per instructions of the Line Manager

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting in an international company.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work independently.

• Attention to details.

• Ability to meet tight timelines.

• Willingness to take initiative and ability to lean at a fast pace.

• Working in a multi-cultural and international environment.

Education

• Swiss certified specialist for finance and accounting (ACCA or equivalent degree).

• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting function in international companies

• Fluent English & German

• Proven practical experience in Swiss GAAP (OR).

• Experience in Swiss VAT required

• Proficiency in MS Office applications especially MS Excel

• Hands on experience working with Accounting Systems
