As an important member of the Product Delivery Team India, you will be leading packaging development for new products and aligning packaging components, products or packaging equipment between supplier and manufacturing sites. You will be trusted for maintaining and improving the packaging of existing products through agreed value engineering and re-sourcing initiatives.

You will be accountable for the development of packaging in line with Regional/local marketing vision/objectives and provide appropriate support to Oriflame’s manufacturing and distribution facilities.

You will provide technical support to component supplier validation, approval & continues improvement as per Oriflame requirement. You should be able to do Tool development & moulded component localization. You will also be troubleshooting and problem solving all packaging related issues.

  • Lead packaging team in India and ensure team has all relevant tools in place to perform as required
  • Lead all assigned packaging development projects for NPD.
  • Approve all relevant technical component drawings.
  • Coordinate, approve and report all necessary filling line and transit trials.
  • Create and maintain packaging specifications and IFS system administration.
  • Technical approval of component supplier and finished components.
  • Initiate, monitor and approve filling line and transit trials; implement remedial actions as appropriate.
  • Define and approve all necessary packaging component testing; via the Product Testing and Scale-up team within our Global Research and Development Centre.
  • Coordination of packaging artworks and origination proof (“bromide”) approvals necessary to complete the development of their brand or product packaging.
  • Management and resolution of relevant packaging related non-conformances. To understand and develop new component in alignment of global packaging.
  • Technical support to component supplier as per European/ Oriflame standard against business requirement. Align with all Technical document preparation, development, testing, line trial, transit trials and component supply first time right.
  • Project Management of specific Category packaging development projects.
  • Coordination of feasibility studies on Marketing design proposals; in conjunction with internal and external development partners, e.g. Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution and agreed supplier partners.
  • Approval of all relevant technical component drawings. Coordination, approval and reporting of all necessary packaging/product component testing, via the Product Testing and Scale-up team within R&D.
  • Creation and maintenance of packaging specifications and IFS system administration. Technical approval of finished components.
  • Work on problem solving projects, identify root cause and deliver solution within agreed time plan.

Network of Interactions:

  • Marketing: The job holder will support global/regional/local Marketing team in the creation of detailed packaging briefs; by supplying appropriate component options for material choice, shape, construction and decoration.
  • Purchasing: The job holder will support the Purchasing team and transfer team through the preparation of accurate packaging information (specifications and benchmarks) for the purposes of obtaining quotations and the realization of value engineering opportunities.
  • Manufacturing: The job holder will support Oriflame -India through the timely discussion of relevant new product and packaging developments and the inclusion of manufacturing requirements in the product specification to allow the most efficient implementation of new products into the manufacturing facility and processes.
  • Distribution: The job holder will support the Oriflame distribution functions (warehousing and order picking) by ensuring that distribution requirements are suitably incorporated into the design and development of all new products and packaging.
  • B. Tech & PDGM from Packaging Institute (Regular course)
  • The Job holder should have minimum of 10-12 years of experience as a packaging developer in an appropriate new product development environment. Component design and mould development experienced preferred.
  • Job Holder should have min 5-7 years of experience in managing a team.
  • Should have work experience of FMCG Industries.
  • Should be fluent in English & Hindi and have experience working in an international / multi-cultural environment.
